My brother and sister-in-law have a new puppy, her name is Bella. A Black Labrador Retriever who is three months old. Totally adorable! No matter what she does she makes us all smile. I was reminded of this Billy Joel tune, She’s Got a Way, which chronicles that there is healing power in a simple smile. Today as I interacted with Bella I was once again reminded of that power.
Sometimes all people need is a simple smile. It can transform the worst of days into the not so bad that you can’t make it until tomorrow days. Lives are transformed and through changed when someone sees a genuine smile. The hardest of hearts can melt in an instant purely because someone took a moment to smile.
You will pass, interact with and spend time with lots of people today. Why not give them a genuine smile and work your magic. Maybe you need a smile today…give one to get one.
