Sometimes to sit and have a cup of something – coffee, tea, water, whatever – is just what you need to help you get through the rest of your day. Europeans have a great habit of taking a break and sitting still long enough to rejuvenate for the rest of the day. As Americans we find it hard to sit still and just be relaxed. Afternoon tea of coffee is a habit I want to begin.
What habit do you need to build? Being still can be a hard habit to create. Activities, to do lists, things to get done and implementing all your ideas may seem more important, yet they do not allow you to rest. Never underestimate the power of being quiet and how it will give you more energy than just pushing through to do more work. Giving yourself the gift of a regular break is like drinking a cup of hot chocolate, it is good to the last drop.
