Let Kindness Be Your Guide

The year is over and everyone has a different reaction to this phenomenon. Some people cheer and celebrate, others send out the new year with tears and sorrow. Some people say goodbye to the pain and strife of the past year and look forward to a new beginning, a chance to start fresh. And some never want to see the year end as it was the best one they had ever experienced!

No matter how you end the year or look forward to the new year, let kindness be your guide. Words that are given to provide hope, peace, encouragement and life can change someone’s life. They have the power to bolster them during their darkest nights or bring them energy to continue their current race. We forget that words can be weapons or wounds that stay with us forever, when we utter them we choose how they will impact the life of the listener.

People do not remember what you did, or what you didn’t do. They remember how you made them feel. People want to be around people that make them feel strong, hopeful and better about themselves. Make this year the year you chose to let your words build people up on a regular basis.
