When I created this background and lettering, I did not know that I was going to have a horrible day. Well it was more like a horrible night. You know, one of those nights when no matter how you try to sleep your brain just won’t turn off. UGH! You toss and turn to no avail, sleep continues to elude you.
Agatha Christie had those days. Her writing has been read more than any other author in history. The number of copies sold of her work is second only to the sales of the Bible. To say she had to deal with good and bad days is probably an understatement. These words of wisdom from one of my favorite authors seems to completely fit the bill:
I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable. But through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.
– Agatha Christie 1976
I take great comfort in knowing that the woman who’s stories have changed the course of mystery writing forever, also sometimes felt wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable. Doing what we do best does not always mean that each day will be a best day. We can try to make it that way; however, it does not always work out that way! There will be good days, bad days, miserable days, and even bland or blah days. One day does not define us, unless we let it.
So today, even though I am not running at one hundred percent, let me encourage you to do your best no matter what kind of day you are having. None of us can run at full speed all the time. Learning to give ourselves grace, comfort, and maybe a nap will go a long way towards our mental and physical health. After all, we are only human. And no matter the type of day or night we are having, to be alive is a grand thing!

Absolutely!!
