That’s what the sign said over this Rooster which was for sale at a local flea market – “No Returns”. I can only imgaine the buyer’s remorse when they hear the Rooster crow at 4:00am for the first time…knowing that there is no way to stop that crowing without committing murder!
Have you ever felt that way, true buyer’s remorse? Stuck with no out…have you ever found yourself in a situation and asked yourself, “How did I end up here?” I have, and it can be a tough place to be. You think you are stuck with no way out…and you may even consider some drastic step to get off a path where there seems to be no return…
As the voice of someone who has been down several dead ends in my life, let me share this insight. There are no TRUE dead ends. I can say that because I have come to the end of several roads where I felt I had no options. When I looked at my situation from the path directly in front of me, there appeared to be no way out. That’s why you have to look around, look under, look from above, look sideways or from the left then the right…look at that dead end situation from a different perspective.
Instead of being a Rooster in a cage that no one wants, be the bird that has the courage to use their gifts where they are appreciated…get out, change it, move, side step…whatever it is, you need to change. Stop thinking can’t, and think what if…stop thinking victim, and think like a victor! Stop the pity party and begin planning for victory. A Rooster in a cage won’t get out until someone realizes that he is a superb alarm clock that never loses power and is only using his God given gifts to welcome the new day…he can be seen as annoying beyond belief OR a gift that no one would ever want to return, it’s all in your perspective.
