We hear the word HERO being thrown around a lot. People who do extraordinary things. Service men and women, movie characters and even public service people. There are so many different ways to be a hero, I like how Maya Angelou tells us her own definition of who is a hero…
“I think a hero is anyone really intent on making this a better place for all people.”
“Making this a better place for all people…” What a great way to define a hero. From the extraordinary to the ordinary, anyone can be a hero. It is not simply a one time act or a job description. Being a hero is about focus and a mindset attached to action. Being consistently determined that your actions will make the world better for people, no matter who they are. It means being intentional and committed to doing what it takes, no matter what it take or how long to accomplish the goal.

The magic of all heroes does not have to end once they finish the job. It only ends if we let that magic terminate with us.
I challenge you today to be a hero, pass on the magic, and make this world a better place for all people, even if the only people who know it are in your part of the world. We all need heroes, so today start the chain of magic and be one…
