Be BOLD! One Act of Boldness at a Time!

I spoke to someone last week who is facing a fabulous career opportunity. They have been tapped to be the next CEO of their organization. They have been bold over the past few years in bringing their ideas and true self to work each day. That boldness has proven to work in their favor, sort of like these words from OVID remind us. Fortune and love befriend the bold.

The next time you have the opportunity to be bold, do it. Don’t shrink back, don’t worry about what people will think or how you might be seen, BE BOLD! Dare to believe that what you have to say or do is important enough for you to be BOLD about saying or doing it. Sure it might be scary, out of your comfort zone, or even a bit intimidating…do it anyway! Yes there will be people who do not like it, who cares? Those people don’t like much of anything that is not all about them or their agenda. KNOW that what you have to say or bring to the table is just what is needed to move things forward in a huge way!

When was the last time you heard a successful person speak and they mentioned always coloring within the lines, or playing it safe, or even holding back their thoughts and ideas out of fear for what other people might think? NEVER! They were BOLD! Not to be the center of attention; they were bold because the idea they had, the value their brought could no longer sit quietly on the sidelines waiting to be called upon…they had to let it out!

So let me remind you, BE BOLD! The only way to get good at being bold is to be bold, every chance you get! In your personal life, your work life, in your service and community life, even in the things that matter only to you. BE BOLD! Let the passion, enthusiasm and hope you have soothingly cover everyone you encounter. No matter the size, shape or color of your goal, BE BOLD! Only you have the power to change your world one act of boldness at a time.
