My husband and I worked outside today and we both came inside spent and tired. Our kitty Artie was tired, and our other cat was asleep on our bed. They had been up all night chasing critters, and we worked all day cleaning up our land. Rest is what comes at the end of a hard day’s work. There is something about taking a nap after a lot fo work. It is restful, peaceful, and feels so very well deserved.
I love the moment in our house when every living creature in the place is asleep. Sometimes I am up early or stay up late, and I get to hear the restful silence knowing that the ones I love are getting rejuvenated for another day. There is sometimes snoring or purring, and I don’t always mean from the animals. Sleep has an amazing sound, especially when it is well earned.
the night is calling and it’s time for me to rest for another day of fun. I hope your hard work puts you right to sleep, and that you dream of beauty and have amazing adventures. Let the urge to rest take over, leave the world behind, and simply rest. You’ve worked hard and deserve it.
