There is a texture to a life well lived. A life that when spent makes the lives of others better. A life that compels others towards their own best self. A life that simply by it’s presence makes the world a better place. We each have the opportunity to use twenty-four hours each day, how we spend it is the challenge.
Are people better because they interacted with you today? Are people felling better about themselves? Do you bring out the best in people? Do they know there is a meaning in life after interacting with you? Does your kindness and attitude of service prove the goodness in the heart of man?
This all may sound fictitious or impossible, yet I attended a funeral today where all these words were used to describe the deceased. The words of his eldest son were to remind us that no one is promised tomorrow, so cherish today and make the world a better place because you are in it.
Life is not measured by the years between the day you were born and the day you die. Life is measured by how you use those days, each and every one of them. So use your day to bring textures to your life and the lives of others.
