This week’s calligraphy prompt was an example of what you might write in someone’s autograph book. Either something you remember writing or something you would use to make your mark. I chose this phrase as I wrote it in many student yearbooks.
The words we read in a yearbook or on autograph page are a snapshot of time. They give us a glimpse into the people who played a part in our lives. It only takes a moment to write something down, and everyone wants it to be memorable. Our hope is that the words we write reflect our emotion and sentiments for the recipient. These words are usually read right away and then years later when we take a sentimental journey through memory lane.
I believe that any of us can be successful at anything we want, it is a choice. And yes, I do think we need to choose wisely. There are so many options and opportunities out there, too many to live in just one lifetime. We make choices everyday that will influence who we are and who we become. Our choices reflect what is important to us. How we spend our time and our money defines what is really important to us.
As all the conflicting calls for your time and energy come across your desk, you have a choice. You determine what you will do each day with your time, your energy, your money, and your attitude. You can do anything you choose, so choose wisely.
