We are headed into a week of rain and cold, according to the weatherman. There are flash flood warnings and it doesn’t sound like much fun at all. Everyone I spoke to today commented about being tired of Winter and wanting Spring to arrive. The mood was one of disappointment and a general sense of blah! We are on the edge of warmer weather arriving as the flowers begin the peak out of the ground, but it isn’t here yet.
One of the best ways I know to make a day better is to eat cupcakes with sprinkles. They are not good for you. They have enough sugar that could send any diabetic into a coma. And since they are small you think you can eat more and feel less guilt. They are completely decadent and taste delicious. So today, and maybe this week, there are going to be days that need cupcakes with sprinkles.
How can you feel sad when you ingest these colorful bundles of joy? Just the sight of them on a plate makes me feel better. The little kid in me comes out and wonders should I eat the icing first, then the cake? Do I take big or little bites, or should I see if I can shove the whole thing in my mouth at once? Do I share, or keep eating until the plate is empty? Are there enough for me to have more? Are there any other flavors? And how many is too many, if there is an answer to that question?
A day that includes cupcakes with sprinkles has got to have something redeemable about it, don’t you agree? Now instead of just having a photo of cupcakes I need to go find some! I hope you can eat one or two today as well, and savor every bite. Let the sugar coma begin!!!
