It Will Pass With Time

It has been cold as the dickens here in the South, which is very uncharacteristic. We’re all rather tired of it, and I want my mild Southern Winter back. These are the whining moans of a weather wimp. I live in the South because winters are mild.

So I bring this picture back to mind, to remind me that there is a time and purpose to every season. The trees will bloom again and the sun will shine and warm our days. The buds on the Japanese Maple will fall to the ground and seed new trees. The cycle of the seasons will come back around. The days are getting longer and Spring will arrive here in the next 90 days.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that what we are experiencing now is only temporary. The cold, the sad, the unknown, the fear of the future will all pass away with time. The waiting, the working for, the reaching towards, the searing within ourselves will one day subside and we will emerge victorious. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, even if it doesn’t feel that way today.

Whew! I needed that reminder. Spring is the next season coming down the path. It will be here soon. Hold on and know that whatever it is your are experiencing right not, it will pass with time.
