It’s that time of year and Santa’s Helper is busy finishing up gifts and ideas. Our studio has been bustling with creativity and work. The ideas are getting implemented and completed. This is a shot of the ‘testing’ I am in the process of doing for a piece of furniture I am partnering with my Dad to complete. He built it and I am finishing it…photos to be posted later, once it is completed.
I talked with a friend’s daughter yesterday, and she asked if I was ready for Christmas. I told her I was not finished with a couple gifts and was waiting for things to dry. She was shocked to think that someone is actually making gifts. She actually went silent for a few minuted when I told her, she blinked twice and had a hard time finding words. This reaction made me realize that we all live very different lives. I take it as normal that we are making things, and she could not grasp the concept. It also made me realize that we all think differently about the holidays, about giving, and about how we spend our time and talents.
I have to get back to work…Santa has a hard deadline. Ho, ho, ho everyone. If you see lights on late at night tonight, know Santa’s Helper is still busy getting the gifts done.
