Knock-out roses bloom multiple times each year. This flower is the last one for this bush before the frost of winter arrives. It is as glorious as the first bloom of Spring. It reminded me that brining your best is important and will be noticed whether you are first or last.
Sometimes what you do at the end is what defines how people remember you. How you leave things, how you end things, how you transition into something else. Yes the will remember the big things you accomplished, the goals you reached, the mountains you climbed. Just remember that the last thing you do is the last thing they see, and most likely what they will remember most. This rose reminded me that as this year comes to a close, do not let the end of your efforts serve as a poor example for all your work from the rest of the year. Give it your everything as you finish. End on a high note, so as months pass and your new work is unveiled everyone will look forward to it. The end is a great reminder of an exciting future.
