I remember in my first grade class, Mrs Dresser had ‘C is for Cat’ on the wall. How fantastic for children to learn that ‘C’ means create, change, choose, care and can. This twentieth century school sign provides a positive spin on learning the power of words. It plants ideas and attitude of being able to do things in the minds of our future leaders.
Think about the things you might have done differently if at an early age you were taught to create? What if instead of being told you can’t do this or that, you were told you can. Imagine hearing everyday you can do it, go for it. Imagine hearing you can choose your path and succeed. Imagine seeing and reading everyday that you can create, continue, care and change anything. Simply act, believe and create and anything is possible.
C is for create and reminds us that we are the authors of our own destiny. We are in life where we have chosen to be, and we can change our lives by choosing differently. So as we choose, change, care and continue to be ourselves…think about the words you hear, absorb, and think about. Create the world you want…you ‘C’an do it!
