We have new neighbors. Their house was completed this past summer, and they moved in right away. In passing their house last night we encountered this beautiful display. How wonderful and festive we felt as we drive by our new neighbors.
We live in our houses for years, and yet for many they never turn into a home. Where they live is an address, a place to hang their hat, but it never becomes a part of who they are. They see it as an investment, a place to sleep and eat and nothing more. And then there are people like our new neighbors who move in and bring everything they are with them. They flood the space around them with passion, color, and life. They invade the place and make it their own. They quickly turn a house into a home. They inspire us when we simply drive by. Their passion rubbed onto us the moment we saw the lights from down the street.
