All of us have different thoughts about what heaven will be like. This picture is one example for me – an entire department store floor for women’s shoes…no kidding. This is a city block big in downtown Tokyo, at the Takashimaya store on the Ginza. Every style, color, material…every shade…shoes for every event. It’s everything any woman could every want in a shoe store. Great selection, great service…wow!
What fun it would be to spend a couple hours in this store simply trying on shoes. Not for any other purpose than to see how they look and feel, and to dream about the fun places you could go walking in your new shoes. Does that sound silly? Strange? Or maybe a bit like a shopaholic? I’m OK with that, to me it sounds delightful. And I can think of three or four friends who would gladly spend their afternoon with me in this store.
