Walking behind this woman I enjoyed seeing here Winnie the Pooh cell phone cover. There it was for the whole world to see just dangling from her back pack like it was no big deal. It made me smile and snap this picture.
What inspired me was her complete ability to share her likes and dislikes, no matter what. She did not seem worried whether it was politically correct or professionally advantageous, she likes Winnie the Pooh and doesn’t care who knows it. She is willing to embrace her childlike side and show it to the world. I admire this about the Japanese. They like laughing and being childlike and having fun. They take advantage of cartoon characters and creativity in every day matters. They seize opportunities to mix fun in with real world situations. They are a serious people, yet know when to let go and giggle to make a point clear.
Today I encourage you to embrace the fun side of life. Share with those who know you the things that make you giggle or brighten your soul. If you like something, be willing to show it no matter what other people think. If a charater from a story, book, or cartoon is able to best express how you REALLY feel then use that character to help people understand. Don’t worry about what other people will think, be willing to be yourself. Let your Winnie the Pooh side show…
