Who called this meeting? What are we here to talk about? What are we trying to accomplish? And by the way…who is in charge here? These crows made me think of all these questions as I drove by on the way to my destination.
I laughed as I realized that I ask these same questions in work meetings…is it sad that crows and corporate meetings have the same challenges? Lots of proximity, lots of noise…not always a lot gets accomplished. The worst part is that these crows and the people I work with will end up in the same seats in the same rooms dicussing the same topics over and over and over again…only to rinse and repeat.
Your challenge today – if you choose to accept it – is to break out of this pattern and get to the heart of it all. If you sit in a meeting today, ask the pointed question and stop the madness…or let the crows – oops I mean people – off the line.
