I came across these red shoes in the parking lot of a large hotel. So what happened? How were these shoes forgotten? Were they part of some trendy outfit, soon to be missed by their owner? Or were they put out of the car on purpose by someone else, so they would NOT be part of an awful outfit?
Obviously I was so intrigued by these shoes that I took a picture. I also mentioned them when I arrived at my meeting. I was told that someone had seen them the day before, which meant they were left in this exact postion for multiple days! So whoever forget them left the area never to see their shoes again.
What I love about this is that myself and the other people in the meeting spent our lunch hour conversing and making up stories about these shoes. We laughed and speculated on all sorts of things. And the more we imagined, the more we worked to top the other person’s story. It was a great way to get to know my cohorts, and a fun way to spend a business lunch.
