Buried in this work are words and letters – hidden treasures for the eye of the beholder. Not everyone gets it though. My husband and I walked by, stopped and absorbed the layers…those hidden gems of wisdom within the overall work of art. Others int eh store walked by and looked at we we were looking at, then moved on. They didn’t get it. Why did we get it and not the others? I chalk it up to the power of the pause. We were willing to suspend our shopping agenda and pause, absorb, think…and receive the surprise this work contained. Not everyone is willing to pause.
Are you willing to pause? To take time out of your day to see the treasures hidden in someone else’s creativity? If you don’t pause, why not? Too busy, too many things on your plate, too few hours in a day? How sad when we justify missing the details in order to address the agenda items. You know what I am going to ask you to do today…you know it’s coming…take time today to pause. Take a very deep breath, hold it in your lungs, and pause…you might be surprised by what that special moment will contain.
