We colored Easter eggs with my nephews this year…this one cracked. We didn’t notice it until we were putting them on display – before we ate them! I took a close up to enjoy the way the dye interacted with the cracks in the shell. My nephew custom mixed the color then let the egg sit in the dye for a long time. When we finally ate it, some of the dye had bled into the egg white and looked like a blood shot eye.
Why am I sharing this with you? We work so hard to make things perfect, that we forget that the broken eggs taste just as good as the unbroken ones. And the broken ones somehow offer more interesting conversations than the perfect ones. Isn’t that the same with people? The ones who are not trying to put on such a perfect persona are the interesting ones…the ones trying to be perfect are fooling no one but themselves.
Today enjoy a conversation with someone who is interesting because of their imperfections…
