We were given this old barn in Waleska, GA by a friend of ours who is renovating the home on this piece of land. We plan to tear it down and create furniture and other items from this fabulous supply of wood and old tin. We are excited to think that we will be able to reuse, recycle and restore this hundred year old piece of history into multiple pieces.
As gallery owners, we find that people buy the story – how the work was created, stories about the artist, or in this case the story of an old barn that was over a hundred years old that was torn down to create their piece of furniture…
What do you pass each day and overlook because you think it is old? What if you took a moment to look at it from the three R perspective – reuse, recycle, restore – what might you be able to create?
