Inspiration 14: The Night Bloomer

This is the bloom of the Cirrus plant. It only blooms once, at night, for about 4-8 hours. I spent the evening watching the bloom drop, then lift, then open to it’s full potential. Then I watched it slowly withdraw, drop, and close. All in about an eight hour period.

How extraordinary to put forth such amazing effort and beauty for such a short period of time. Are you willing to make that effort for a one time deal, or will you only work for a long term win? What in your life is worth extraordinary effort to share beauty with others? This flower inspired me by it’s commitment to excellence – no matter how long it lasts…
