Yes, you read correctly, there are four weeks until the Craft Council show opens to the public. That means only 27 day days left to prepare for it all. Today we received our new business cards, gallery postcards and the mailer we are going to send for the show. Whew! The printer delivered ahead of schedule and everything looks REALLY nice.
This weekend we are going to set up the display panels in the gallery in order to begin hanging the completed art. We are running out of space in the studio for completed works, so it’s time to hang them up. That means the gallery will be rearranged a bit to accommodate the panels, allow us to walk around them, and see how everything looks together.
Our next stage is to begin ‘bagging and tagging’ the unframed works that will be sold via folding bins and displays in the booth. I have everything from 8×8 inch pieces to 36×48 inch pieces that will be sold unframed. We already have the plastic bags and price tags to label everything. With only four weeks to go, this is when production mode turns into planning and packing mode.
As we rearrange the gallery and studio to accommodate all this work, we will post pictures. So stay tuned!
